The Nonprofit Management Institute is a joint initiative of Virginia Peninsula and NetworkPeninsula. The goal of the Institute is to educate nonprofit professionals and equip them with best practices in all areas of nonprofit management, leadership, and development.
 
  • Classes will be held in Williamsburg. Full-day classes will be from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m, with two 15-minute breaks and 1 hour for lunch. Half-day classes will be held from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, with one 15-minute break.
  • Participants will receive .5 CEUs per class plus 5 CFRE points per full-day class and .25 CEUs and 2.5 CFRE points per half-day class.
  • Classes can be taken as part of a particular Certificate program, or as individual classes with no obligation to obtain Certificates. To obtain individual Certificates, students must take a minimum of five classes in the desired Certificate area. (See ( ) after each class for designated Certificate area that class falls into.) To obtain the Certificate in Nonprofit Management, students are required to complete 115 hours (11.5 CEUs) from classes across all of the six Certificate Programs.

April 29, 2022 – Program Excellence: Creating Mission Impact (Nonprofit Leadership; Organizational Development)

May 20, 2022 – Building an Active and Engaged Board of Directors (Volunteer Management; Nonprofit Leadership)


Class Requirements: Students must be in attendance for the entire class in order to receive credits. Attendance will be taken throughout the day. Please visit https://networkpeninsula.org/nmi/ prior to registering for a complete list of requirements in order to receive CEUs, CFREs, and, where applicable, training funds.

Class Location:

All classes will be held in Room 327 (room number subject to change) at Virginia Peninsula Community College’s Historic Triangle Campus, 100 Opportunity Way, Williamsburg, Virginia (next to Warhill High School).
