Mechatronics Technology (Level 1)

The Mechatronics Technology Career Studies Certificate is an accelerated, short-term program designed to fill entry-level production and technician positions in advanced manufacturing. Completed in nine months or less, the program prepares students for certification as a Siemens Certified Mechatronics Systems Assistant (Level 1). Graduates are skilled in operating complex manufacturing systems that integrate electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering with responsibility for their efficient operation and preventative maintenance.

 

Siemens College Partner

 

The Siemens Mechatronic Systems Certification program is an internationally recognized comprehensive skills certification in mechatronic systems, and Virginia Peninsula is a Siemens College Partner.

Who should Enroll

Students that want a challenging but yet rewarding career in Smart Factory Automation. Students will have opportunities to earn Industry Certifications Mechanical Systems, Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Programmable Logic Controllers along with the Siemens Mechatronics Certification.

Possibilities

Students who complete the Mechatronics Career Studies Certificate can continue earning Industry Certifications by completing Level 2 courses in the Industry 4.0 program (221-736-20) and/or continue to earn the Mechanical Engineering Degree with specialization in Mechatronics (956-02).
