Clinic Closure Notification - Effective May 15, 2024
Dear Virginia Peninsula Community College Dental Clinic Patient,
First and foremost, we thank you for your continued support of our dental hygiene education program and confidence in our students to provide you with the necessary and appropriate oral hygiene education and dental care you have come to expect from our student professionals, as well as our certified staff of dental hygienist and board certified dentist. You are receiving this communication today so that we can provide with you with timely notification that our dental clinic will be temporarily closing for dental services beginning May 15, 2024. This closure is necessary to support education program review and new curriculum implementation, as well as the need for the College to conduct a thorough audit of the clinic space and equipment to perform routine and/or complex service and/or maintenance.
As we prepare to transition into a period of clinic closure, we encourage you to continue to seek oral hygiene and dental services at the provider of your choice, or consider our community clinic partners at the Lackey Clinic in Yorktown or the Olde Town Medical Center in James City County.
This information, as well as updates regarding the potential reopening date of the clinic for dental care services will be posted on the College’s website www.vpcc.edu. We encourage you to continue to check our informational updates frequently and thank you for your continued support and confidence in our program and clinic.
We are happy to address all of your concerns and questions. You may reach us at: Dental Hygiene Program Chair, Dr. Kelly Tanner tannerk@vpcc.edu.
