The Virginia Foundation for Community College Education has announced a new funding and leadership opportunity for second-year students for 2022-2023 called the Virginia Banking Fellows Program.

At least one Fellow from the College or its service area will be selected, so please nominate or recommend any deserving students. This opportunity is open to second-year students of all ages, genders, backgrounds and ethnicities who are enrolled in a Virginia community college with 30 credit hours completed by May 2022. Other criteria include academic excellence (cumulative GPA of 3.0), demonstrated leadership potential and integrity, as well as a commitment to community service.

The program will designate 12 students as Virginia Banking Fellows to join a cohort of future leaders. Students will also receive a $7,000 award to support tuition, books, fees and other expenses related to their education.

The application is available at https://vccsscholarships.awardspring.com and the deadline to apply is May 30.
