EKG Technician training prepares students to operate electrocardiogram equipment and perform tests that record the heart’s electrical activity, helping physicians diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions. The program covers proper lead placement, reading basic EKG strips, patient preparation, and safety procedures, and typically leads to eligibility for a national EKG technician certification exam.
