More than 125 jobseekers and 35 organizations participated in Virginia Peninsula Community College’s Workforce Development Job Fair on Oct. 14.

“The job fair provided a valuable opportunity to bring employers, students, and community members together,” said Franz Albertini, director of enrollment and retention for Workforce Development  at the College, noting it also allowed local employers to strengthen relationships with the community.

Nearly half of the attendees were students.

“Participation by both students and community members demonstrates the event’s reach across our campus and the broader community,” Albertini said.

The semiannual fair took place at the Peninsula Workforce Development Center at 600 College Dr. in Hampton. Plans are already in the works for a spring 2027 job fair in April.
