Virginia Peninsula Community College’s Local Board will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Newport News Trades Center, 520 21st St.
The meeting will allow new board members to participate in orientation. Afterward, the full board will engage in a planning retreat.
Members will not conduct any official business during the Aug. 19 session, which will be closed to the public.
In accordance with the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, regular College Board meetings and those of its committees are open to the community.
