A.   Program Name Change Proposal: Cybersecurity for Enterprise CSC

RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Virginia Peninsula Community College Curriculum, Instruction, and Student Services (CISS) Committee approves the Cybersecurity for Enterprise CSC (221-732-15) program name change to proposed new name of Cyber Defense Support Technician CSC, as presented.

A.   Assignment of the 2026-2027 College Board Chair and Vice Chair for Closed Session

  • RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Virginia Peninsula Community College Board, in accordance with §2.2-3711(A)(1) of the Code of Virginia, will convene in closed session relating to the discussion or consideration of personnel matters, specifically the assignment of officers for the board.
  • Board Entered Closed Session at 7:15 P.M.

Reconvene to Open Session

  • RECOMMENDED ACTION: The Virginia Peninsula Community College Board, having finished all appropriate discussions in accordance with Section §2.2-3711(A)(1) of the code of Virginia, shall end the closed session and return to open session.
  • Board Returned to Open Session at 7:20 P.M.

Certification for Closed Session

  • RECOMMENDED ACTION: The members in attendance at the closed session of the Virginia Peninsula Community College Board meeting on June 17, 2026,, certify that to the best of their knowledge (i) only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements under §2.2-3711(A)(1) of the Code of Virginia and (ii) only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the closed meeting was convened were heard, discussed or considered in this closed session.
