Student clubs and organizations at Virginia Peninsula Community College offer students with similar interests to connect, meet new people, gain valuable experience, and assume leadership roles. Student Clubs and Organizations are open to currently enrolled students who are interested in supporting the mission.
How to Establish a New Student Club or Student Organization at VPCC
- Determine if your group is a student club or student organization
- Student Clubs – Groups of students with similar interests.
- Student Organizations – Student groups that are affiliated with a national organization.
- Student organizations must follow the constitution of their national parent organization.
- Student organizations must establish by-laws for their VPCC chapter, instead of a constitution. ·
- Complete the New Club/Organization Registration Form (Found on the Students Life and Leadership page in Canvas) and attend the New Clubs & Organizations Meeting on September 8 at 12 pm via Zoom.

- Each club must have a faculty/staff advisor. Any part-time or full-time college employee may serve as a club advisor.
- Meet with the advisor to draft the club constitution or student organization by-laws.
- Schedule an Interest Meeting (advisor must reserve the room and attend the meeting).
- Recruit interested students. A club must have at least 5 currently enrolled members to obtain official recognition.
- Review the constitution or by-laws with members and have them vote to approve (ratify) them.
- Elect officers, set meeting dates and discuss club/organization activities. o Complete the VPCC Student Clubs & Organizations Application.

- VPCC Student ID number
- Student Email Address (MyVPCC login @email.vccs.edu)
- Advisor(s) – Name and VPCC Email Address

- Send the Student Club/Organization Application (Found on the Students Life and Leadership page in Canvas) and the approved club constitution and/or by-laws to Kadisia Archer in the Office of Student Life and Leadership at studentlife@vpcc.edu.
Please Note: Student clubs and organization must be accessible to all students who meet the membership qualifications. The Office of Student Life and leadership will create a Canvas page for the club or organization participants to interact.
Anime Club
The VPCC Anime Club exists to promote fellowship among students by sharing knowledge and enthusiasm for anime with the broader campus and local community. Through interactive events, themed activities, and cultural programming, the club fosters a vibrant social environment that celebrates the artistic, historical, and global significance of anime.

Ballroom Dance Club
The purpose of the Virginia Peninsula Ballroom Dance Club is to promote an interest in ballroom dancing, to encourage healthy physical activity and to provide an opportunity for students to form friendships through a shared interest in dance. Students from Hampton and the Historic Triangle Campus are encouraged to join the club — dancing takes place in Hampton.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
The InterVarsity Christian Fellowship (also known as InterVarsity) serves as a vibrant campus ministry that establishes and advances witnessing communities of students.
InterVarsity is an interdenominational Christian fellowship serving students at VPCC, 2-year and 4-year colleges and universities across the US and Canada, with emphasis on whole-life discipleship, evangelism, and student leadership development. Meetings take place on both the Hampton Campus and the Historic Triangle Campus.

Investment Club
The Investment Club is about all forms of investing. The purpose is to provide networking and education for interested students. Members will be able to learn investment concepts, discuss market conditions, and can apply strategies in investing simulators. Students meet with fellow members who are currently investing and share experiences. They will gain access to club advisors who are experienced in economics, banking, and entrepreneurship. Members will be able to apply what they learn to help them achieve their future financial goals.
