  • Prepare and maintain student engagement throughout learning sessions.
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback to faculty, staff, and students.
  • Be attentive to and respond appropriately to department/program and student concerns.
  • Maintain and protect all student information, including performance and attendance information, as confidential.
  • Pursue a variety of lab assignments with different instructors and locations.
  • Be flexible when dealing with variations in lab techniques/settings.
  • Refer any requests for student information, including performance and attendance information, to the faculty member or Department /Program Head/Director
  • Avoid discussion of student information, including performance and attendance, outside the role of proctoring and outside the College
  • Immediately report to the Department /Program Head/Director any incident involving students, faculty, or staff that violates college, program, or other policies and procedures
  • Immediately report to the Department /Program Head/Director any health and safety-related incidents (injuries, illnesses, etc.) – Do not delay the activation 9-1-1 in emergencies.
  • Demonstrate current knowledge of EMS BLS education standards, scope of practice, and local protocols.
  • Demonstrate current knowledge of firefighting certification standards.
  • Adhere to the National Registry of EMTs, Virginia Department of Health Office of EMS, Commonwealth of Virginia, Virginia Community College, Virginia Peninsula Community College, PSAHHS Division Fire and EMS Department/Program regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as program accrediting agency standards.
  • Adhere to Virginia Department of Fire Programs, Commonwealth of Virginia, Virginia Community College, Virginia Peninsula Community College, PSAHHS Division Fire, and EMS Department/Program regulations, policies, procedures, and program designating agency standards.

  • Maintaining paperwork for items ordered and keeping records of when ordered items arrive, as assigned.
  • Checking on lab supplies and equipment before, during, and following lab periods to ensure that classes have all the items they need.
  • Coordinating supply orders and requisitions as assigned
  • Organizing and receiving parts and equipment used in the labs, as assigned

  • Provide feedback to program faculty regarding skills practice processes and curriculum.
  • Attend meetings and required training
