(3 credits) Provides an introduction to the basic equipment and techniques used in maintaining, repairing, and upgrading sUAS to assure airworthiness and proper operation of the other components. Emphasizes safe practices in repair and handling of components and develops fundamental skills in troubleshooting/repair of the circuits, subsystems and components typically found in the complete sUAS. Covers payload sensor mounting, power management and security threat management. Lecture 2 hours. Laboratory 2 hours. Total hours per week 4.
