The Job Readiness Skills Training Program provides actionable steps and best practices to help students preparefor a successful transition from the classroom to the professional workforce. The course provides a comprehensive overview of career readiness skills, technical resources, and professional development strategies essential for long-term career success. Students will receive guided instruction on accessing and using college-supported technology, including Canvas, educational software, and IT services. The course emphasizes self-awareness and career alignment through structured self-assessment tools, such as the DISC profile, to help students identify communication styles, workplace strengths, and potential career pathways. Students will explore modern job search strategies, including AI-powered rsum builders and digital platforms for tracking job applications. Instruction focuses on building and maintaining a professional presence, preparing for and excelling in virtual interviews, and demonstrating essential soft skills, including punctuality, teamwork, communication, and professionalism. Students will have developed practical skills, confidence, and a personalized toolkit to support workforce entry, career advancement, and lifelong vocational success.
