Advising: Plan now. Succeed now.
Academic Advising is an active community of support that empowers you to achieve your goals. Explore possible careers within your Academic Division and work with a team of faculty and professional advisors to support your goals, all related to your discipline and program of study.
Academic Advising: Virtual scheduled appointments and ‘drop-in’ academic advising services are available at Virginia Peninsula Community College. Advising services are for certificate or degree-seeking students only. Review the college catalog for eligible curricular programs.
Students are assigned an advisor within their academic division once they have declared a curricular program. Advisor information is available on the student’s Navigate Homepage and Student Center page in SIS. If students are unable to view assigned advisor information on their Navigate Homepage or Student Center page, send an email to email@example.com and include: student’s full name, 7-digit student ID number and program of study.
At Virginia Peninsula, we use multiple measures and informed self-placement to determine student readiness for college-level English and math courses.
