Testing Center | Virginia Peninsula Community College

Testing Center

Testing Centers are located on the Hampton and Historic Triangle Campuses to serve students who need to complete make-up, distance education, and placement testing.  Students must make appointments in Navigate to access these testing services.  Students will need to select a specific day and time to come in to take a test.  Please be aware of how long the test will take and plan accordingly.  In order to provide some social distancing, there are a limited number of time slots available.  At the present time, the testing centers will not be accepting walk-ins.

Most students will not need to take a placement test as they will be assessing their own English and mathematics skills by means of a brief questionnaire (a process known as Direct Enrollment).  Students who wish to use military benefits and who wish to take developmental course work are eligible to take the Virginia Placement Test (placement test).  These students may wish to take the Practice Test before taking the Virginia Placement Test.  It is available at www.tncc.edu/admissions/testing/alternative

Schedule an appointment for testing services in Navigate. Students will see each testing centers' availability in Navigate when scheduling a test.

Students from other colleges who wish to use Virginia Peninsula Testing Centers to take a test should call the testing center nearest them and schedule an appointment.
