New Student English & Math Placement 

Recent High School Graduates/GED Completion 

New students who graduated high school within the last 6 years will be placed in English and Math courses based on their high school GPA (weighted or unweighted) and their highest level of math completed.  

Students who completed the GED within the last 6 years should send their scores to admissions@vpcc.edu for placement assistance.

High School Graduation/GED Completion 6+ Years Ago 

Students who are graduated from high school or completed a GED than 6 or more years ago, should use Self-Informed placement measures along with the program curriculum in the College Catalog to determine which English and math courses to take.
