Journeyman HVAC/Plumbing Technician

Skilled Work: – Accurately and efficiently analyze mechanical system failures and make adjustments, repairs, or replacements to maintain proper and efficient system operations. – Estimate quantities and quality of material needed to accomplish assigned tasks. – Complies with man-hour and work order time management requirements in accordance with the maintenance management software program.

Skilled Work: – Performs plumbing maintenance and repairs on all plumbing systems and equipment, including pipes, water closets, urinals, lavatories, faucets, drains, etc. Backflow Prevention Program Work: – Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains Building Backflow Prevention Devices, valves, and associated equipment. – Ensures all equipment is installed, repaired, and maintained in accordance with National, State, and Local codes. – Performs monthly preventive maintenance on all devices, including testing and inspections of all devices to ensure equipment is working properly and within compliance with codes. – Maintains all PM records and documentation. – Performs yearly testing required by the locality and submits reports to the governing authority.

Assist with and independently perform regular building maintenance work requests, including moving furniture, unclogging toilets, replacing light bulbs and switches, clearing snow, treating ice, patching drywall, painting, hanging signs and photos, cutting keys, making signage, and using building automation systems to adjusting temperatures. – Assist with other trades/other duties as assigned.
