Assess and identify your own personal communication style, learn how to communicate with other communication styles, explore the strengths and weakness surrounding communication styles.

What Do We Say When We are not Speaking?

Learn how you impact and influence others through your physical gestures and practice ways to get your message across for productive communication.

Deciphering the Sender’s Message

Discover the principles of communication and listening, look at the reasons why people do not hear what is being shared with them, identify effective ways of listening and rapport building, and practice listening techniques like paraphrasing.

Defusing Emotionally Charged Situations

Identify internal responses to emotionally charged situations, distinguish ways to deescalate highly emotional situations, and verbalize mediatory techniques to control a highly emotional situation.

Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Training

Effectively apply FERPA to the workplace setting, understand the importance of the “FERPA Shield”, and partake in a Q&A after the training presentation.
