Description:
(3 credits) Prerequisite(s): MEC 155 and ETR 140. Co-requisite(s): MEC 165 and ELE 233. Introduces terminology and principles related to Mechatronic system design and application. Integrates concepts of electrical/electronic, mechanical and computer technologies in the development, setup, operation and troubleshooting of automated products and systems. Covers breakdown of various automated manufacturing operations with emphasis on system planning, development and troubleshooting processes. Lecture 2 hours + lab 2 hours = total 4 hours per week.
