Covers procedures, communication and interpersonal relations, observation, charting and reporting, safety and infection control, anatomy and physiology, personal care, nutrition and patient feeding, death and dying. Includes laboratory and clinical practice hours. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Student must have a watch with a second hand. Must successfully complete a BLS for Healthcare Providers class before clinical included & provided in NAE course. Expect prior to employment requirements such as background checks, updated immunization & TB test, and or physical exam.Eligible students will be prepared to sit for theNNAAP exam for NCSBN National Council of State Boards of Nursing offered by PearsonVue. The exam consists of two components: a written or oral portion and a skills demonstration portion. Each candidate must successfully complete both components of the exam before a state can add their name to the state nurse aide registry. The state registry is used to assure employers that the potential hire has met the federal and state requirements for employment.
