Description:
(7 credits) Prerequisite: Prerequisite: CPR certification at the Health Care Provider level. Co-requisite(s): EMS 120. Prepares student for certification as a Virginia and National Registry EMT-Basic. Includes all aspects of pre-hospital basic life support as defined by the Virginia Office of Emergency Medical Services curriculum for Emergency Medicine Technician Basic. Lecture 5 hours + lab 4 hours = total 9 hours per week.
