(2 credits) prerequisite/s: MTH 162 or MTH 263 or MTH 264 or MTH 265 or MTH 267 or equivalent or departmental approval. Co-requisite: ENG 111 or ENG 111/EDE 11 eligible. Introduces the engineering profession and its impact on society and the environment, including engineering problem solving, the engineering design process, and professional practices. Covers fundamental engineering calculations, descriptive statistics, basic spreadsheet and mathematical scripting language applications, professional ethics, teamwork, and communication. Lecture total 2 hours per week.
