G3 banner

G3 is a last-dollar state-funded aid program for Virginians who:

  • Qualify for in-house tuition
  • Have total household income of less than or equal to 400% of the Federal Poverty Level (roughly an income of $100,000 for a family of four)
  • Are enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours in a designated G3 program
  • Have applied for federal and/or state financial aid
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress
G3 funds will pay for tuition, fees, and books in selected programs (listed below). Some full-time students may also qualify for an additional stipend for living expenses.

  • Apply to Virginia Peninsula
  • Complete a FAFSA (or FANTIC for FastForward students)
  • Enroll in one of the approved G3 programs listed above.
  • Students who meet the financial qualifications for G3 will automatically receive the scholarship after other aid (grants and scholarships) is applied.
